Since I was a kid, I had an interest in photography. I was lucky enough to attend a high school that was pushing career and technical education (CTE) credits; of which was a three year photo program! This gave me access to a full studio with all the equipment you could dream of, including a dark room. Somewhat conflictingly, I disliked the tediousness of film, while absolutely loving the ‘cinematic’ look you could get from studio photography.
When I left for college and had the ability to travel more, I picked up an interest in street photography. The pictures from this time frame are under the street section.
After enlisting I found myself on a year long rotation in south Texas. With a little extra money in my pocket, I had to get a drone. It definitely was an impulsive purchase, but allowed me to experiment and get some awesome photos!
Deciding to give film another try, I recently picked up a Nishika, a ‘3d’ film camera, and will hopefully have some photos/animations from it uploaded in the near future!
